Residential
A craning redbrick stack in the heart of Hampstead Village. Rescued after decades of decay by a French family looking for somewhere to come together in town, we carefully restored this three-storey Edwardian apartment to its restrained best before introducing simple volumes in warm tones. Earthy modernism sits quite comfortably within the conventions of English turn-of-the-century architecture.
Substantial structural work was required to reconfigure the apartment’s spaces and add a dining terrace and master suite to the top floor. Original plasterwork long ago stripped out was replaced and the original floors restored, while modern services were concealed behind a mixture of shaker and contemporary panelling.
